In 1994, Blake and Karla read Come Help Change the World, which inspired them to join Cru campus staff. It was a grand adventure and a faith-growing experience. After six years with Cru, Blake transitioned to higher education fundraising, gaining over 20 years of experience helping families with major gifts at four universities. He earned the Chartered Adviser in Philanthropy from the American College in 2013.
In 2024, Blake joined Cru Foundation, where he enjoys helping others experience the joy of stewardship by assisting with current and legacy giving. Blake and Karla are parents to five children and enjoy staying active together by playing pickleball, hiking, playing card games, traveling, and cheering on their favorite SEC sports teams.
